Crown Hill Automotive: what can I say? Their oil change is a bit pricier than a quick lube place. But the service is fair, thorough and honest. They do more than change the oil. And they don't put extra parts or service.

I've taken my car to places Jerry recommends for additional service - body work, specifically. I can trust his referrals.

When I go to Crown Hill Automotive, it's like having my brother work on my car. Jerry wants to tinker until everything is right, and he's looking out for my best interests!

I just bought a '59 Nash Metropolitan and on chance brought it in to these guys since I had seen British cars parked in their lot before. They're AWESOME. Super upfront about price and what they're doing, and incredibly skilled in dealing with older cars. They've done a TON of work on my car, and it comes with a 3-year guarantee!!!! Plus, they've had me bring it back by a couple of times to check on how things are going and have made other adjustments/minor repairs for no charge.

They aren't cheap, but they're incredibly honest and their workmanship is top-notch. Free loaners, too! And it's always a blast checking out the antique cars scattered around their lot.

This shop is great.  I have had my Land Rover for about 7 years now.  It requires a fair amount of upkeep since I use it for snowboarding and the occasional road trip along the coast.  Crown Hill has been taking care of this truck for most of those 7 years.  They've done oil changes, suspension swaps, head gaskets, rear hub replacement, radiator replacement and repaired failed exhaust manifold gaskets.  They always tell me what needs to happen in their opinion, then ask me what I want done, then do it.  They're always fair, crystal clear on costs before they do any work, and I can get a loaner car if I need it.
I've leased 2 other Land Rovers, and been to both Land Rover Dealerships in the Seattle Metro area multiple times for service and lease related details.  I'm OK with them for sales and post sales care.  As for repair, I take my own personal, paid for, Land Rover to Crown Hill.  It's a real shop, with real knowledgeable mechanics that remember your truck, you as a customer and do top flight work.  Last visit they had the door open doing a lock repair.  The last folks (insurance auto glass repair) had cut out the door liner, and left broken glass laying in the bottom of the door.  They took the time to clean the door, fix the liner correctly and then fix the door lock.  The mechanic just said "That's not the way I would have left the inside of your door, so I took a few minutes and fixed it."  No charge.
They might not always give you the greatest news (you need a radiator AND a water pump) but it's always the right news.  I'm an engineer by trade, and do plenty of research.  I always want to see the parts that get removed, and always demand a detail of their troubleshooting.  I've never had to question a repair on my truck.  It always checks out with research.
Solid shop.  My wife even likes them.

These guys know what they are doing! Didn't have an appt. And my old van needs shocks. They got the job done in a very timely manner and were very friendly. Jerry the owner is a down to earth guy and his staff was all smiles. Very experience mechanics and reasonable rates, all their service is backed by a great warranty as well. I will be getting my van serviced there from now on.

These guys are great.  They work on my old '89 Jeep and it always comes back running great.  They fix things right the first time. Yeah they might not be warm and fuzzy, but I don't want that in my auto shop.  I'll get that elsewhere.  I want my car fixed and at a reasonable price.  And they do have loaners if you need it.

I am SO impressed with the service at Crown Hill Automotive! They were very fast and gave me plenty of notice with a phone call to let me know my car was done. Their services were superior and everything on the bill was explained fully. They even gave me different options on what to do with my car's problems! I didn't think any auto shop could ever be so flexible. It was truly appreciated, working with such a refreshingly candid and honest bunch. I would recommend them to anyone, and will do so. Jerry and the rest of the staff are great. They deal in older model cars, so getting parts, machining, etc. can take longer. Plan accordingly. I was happy with the service, communication, and warranty. I also got a loaner car.

The service I have received at Crown Hill Automotive is the best I have encountered since owning my first car in 1970.  They do only the work needed and at a fair price.  I have lived in the Ballard area for over 20 years and was referred to Crown Hill this past year by a friend.    
I have had several good experiences with all the people I have dealt with at Crown Hill Automotive,   Their prices are fair, and I trust them with my and my kids automobiles.  Integrity and good work are a difficult commodity to find these days.  Trust me when I say, you will find it at Crown Hill Automotive!

Jerry and Ron run a great company. They have worked on several of my cars and always do great work. They are also experienced in streetrods, classics and foreign aswell. They know their cars!
They are always fair with pricing and never try to upsell. A loaner car is available and location is very easy to find. Parking can be tight however.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys for any auto repair you have.

These guys are awesome!
I have brought my car in twice for repairs.  One minor and one major.  Both times I received excellent service.
They do great work with a very fast turn around time.  The prices are competitive and they will work with you to determine what absolutely needs to be done now and what you can put off until later.
Rather than trying to sell you on services you don't need they really seem to have the customers best interest in mind.  Very refreshing these days.

I would absolutely bring my car back to them for any future services and would highly recommend them.

Had a great experience! I was in the area and thought I would randomly try this place out -- needed to get an oil change, tire rotation, general inspection. They gave me discount because I found them on Yelp, which was a great perk. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, but suggested I replace my air filter. Everyone was super nice, especially Joe, who was the one to help me out. They even offered me some of the pizza they got for lunch!

Friendly, competent, trustworthy folks. I will definitely be going back in the future. Also, I think they have a body shop and sell cars as well? So that might be something to consider if you need to kill two birds with one stone.
